Format: Paperback Verified Purchase

In a world that wants to explain Jesus away, reject Him, or make a mockery of His followers, what a gift it is to know that God has always been and will continue to be in the business of making Himself known. Sometimes the best evidence for the saving Grace of God is the testimony of those who have experienced it. This book tells forty different stories, but every single one of them points to the same source of hope–Jesus! This is where He can’t and won’t be denied–in the hearts of every day people who know that they are forever changed because of meeting Jesus. May God take these stories and use them to draw many, many others to this kind of meeting place!

Once Upon a Crisis

This review is from: Once Upon a Crisis: A Look at Post-traumatic Stress in Emergency Services from the Inside Out (Paperback)
I read Bill’s book shortly after it was released in 2012, but I’m just getting around to writing my review now because of my own health issues triggered by a combination of PTSD and my eating disorder. I’m not in the emergency field, but the health issues that resulted from my PTSD symptoms were easier for me to understand and treat because I had read Bill’s book. How timely to be able to read Bill’s book “before” I was hit with PTSD! I’m grateful to Bill for the writing of his helpful book. I believe everyone can benefit from reading Bill’s book because PTSD can come to any one of us and sometimes from such seemingly small traumas which I believe mine to be. The stories Bill shared touched my heart and reconfirmed my knowing that our world is made up of a lot of caring, compassionate, and loving people! 🙂

We All Fall Down – Mindstir Media book review

Entertaining and suspenseful! The author weaves a captivating story that keeps you guessing from beginning to end. Detective Kim Langley’s character is true to life – tough to protect herself from her own heart and living with repercussions of past mistakes. The author’s witty humor and visualization techniques make this a very enjoyable read. I liked the book so much, I had to give it 5 stars, in spite of a few inconsequential editing errors. Can’t wait for more books from thus author!

Linda Ronstadt – Mindstir Media book reviews

This review is from: Linda Ronstadt: Rock’s First Female Superstar (Hardcover)
This was an enjoyable read that covered Linda Ronstadt’s career from the beginning up until the present time. It is a good companion piece to Linda’s own biography, as it fills in many of the gaps that she did not cover in her own memoir. Of the many Linda Ronstadt books written by others, this ranks among the best. The book is well-organized and generously illustrated. Everything you need to know about Linda Ronstadt, all in one book.

I loved this book! Contingency kept me anxious for more as it unfolds the oh-so-many lives affected by adultery. Brilliantly real, I felt the pain of each of the characters as they fight to save their family, their marriage, and their relationship with God. I would recommend this book to ANYONE who has had turmoil in their lives, or even if you haven’t, you will feel hopeful and peaceful in the knowledge that God has control and will walk with you through anything.

I have read all three of the books in Paula Wiseman’s “Contingency” series. I have never been so drawn into a story like I have with all three of these books. I laughed, cried and shouted with each of the characters and what they went though. Her books are definitely based on Christians who are real–face those real problems and think the thoughts that we have as real Christians. Not satisfied with “pat” answers we go looking for true, Godly answers and are not afraid to show our emotions–even in church.

You will NOT be disappointed in these books-trust me- as I have reads tons of Christian fiction and when I read something as real and mesmerizing as these books I want to make sure that all of you serious readers (like myself) know about it!!

I sure hope there are more books in this series because I hated to see the end of this one.

Sometimes we think our past is just that however, there can be life consequences for the choices we make. To know forgiveness is to know God. The bible tells us we must forgive, as God has forgiven us, to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. To have an old wound re-opened can be very difficult but it can also show us that in spite of human choices God can turn a negative into a positive if we allow ourselves to be forgiven and to forgive. That’s when healing can start. Loved the realness of this series. The writer certainly did a great job in pulling you in and making it feel like you were a part of this series.

I’ m not really into Christian novels, having preferred action detective stories. But this series is superb and a real blessing. It was able to bring Gods truth and Grace alive in such a practical way. They kept me riveted!. Well done Paula Wiseman

Resolute is a must read. It took me a long time to finish the last couple of chapters because of my emotions! The author has taken a horrible…robbing disease and written a loving, caring sensitive, and informative account.

I have come to love each of these characters from her other writings. They all seem like close friends to me so I think that is why I was so emotional. This book has definitely put a new light on my relationship with my own husband!

Thank you Paula, for sharing your wonderful talent with us. Can’t wait for another book with these characters.

For my three-year-old grandson it was love at first sight. He was drawn in by the story and captivated by the art. His wide eyes took in every detail–and even though it probably was not exactly what Ms Bloser had in mind–when The Big Green Frog jumped into the water Grandson could hardly contain his excitement. We had to re-read that page. And when we reached the end, my grandson quickly flipped the pages back to the beginning and said, “Read it again.” Those are words his parents are likely to hear many times. Thank you Cheryl Bloser for a job well done.
